Ways to Volunteer Your Time
Our volunteer program offers a wide range of diverse opportunities for volunteers. Some of these include volunteering on our crisis line, getting involved with public education and fundraising initiatives, and becoming a part of our Board of Directors.
It is through the ongoing support and dedication of our volunteers that we are able to successfully provide a wide range of services and programs in Durham Region.
If you would like to apply to volunteer on our Crisis and Support Line, please complete the DRCC Volunteer Application and email the completed form with a copy of your most recent resume to emma@drcc.ca. Emma can also be reached by phone at 437-228-7396.
We ask all crisis line volunteers to commit to a minimum of 1 year of volunteer service, and minimum of 24 hours of volunteering a month. All shifts are self-selected and done entirely remotely.
Please note that references are typically given once a volunteer has been active for at least 6 months.
