Client/Services Complaint Process
The DRCC has an internal complaints process. If a client is unsatisfied with their counsellor and/or the service they are receiving, they can discuss this with Gemma Broderick (Executive Director) at gemma@drcc.ca or to the Board of Directors at board@drcc.ca.
The external process for complaints is as follows: Many DRCC counsellors are Registered Social Workers and members of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and therefore must abide by the Codes of Ethics and Standards of Practice that regulate the profession. If clients have a complaint about their counsellor, they can make a formal complaint with the OCSWSSW. Information about the Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice and Complaints Procedure can be found at: http://www.ocswssw.org/professional-practice/code-of-ethics/.
For support with making a complaint to the appropriate college please connect with our Executive Director.
