Post-Secondary Program

Since 2020, the DRCC’s Post-Secondary Program has provided counselling and support services to survivors of sexual violence who are students of select post-secondary institutions in the Durham Region. Services are provided both in-person and virtually, either by phone or Zoom. Presently, the DRCC maintains partnerships with Trent University and Ontario Tech University, and receives support from the Centre for Innovation for Campus Mental Health (CICMH) to deliver this program.

Due to its unique funding structure, the Post-Secondary Program is open to Trent and OTU students of all genders who have experienced any form of sexual violence – either historically (more than six months ago) or recently (less than six months ago). All post-secondary clients are also welcome to utilize other DRCC services such as the Group Counselling Program, advocacy and accompaniment services, the 24/7 crisis and support line, and so on.
